Coalition Against Socialized Medicine Applauds the Introduction of the 340B ACCESS Act
ALEXANDRIA, VA, October 7, 2025 – The Coalition Against Socialized Medicine (CASM), a broad coalition of leading conservative groups, has issued the following statement applauding the introduction of the 340B Affording Care for Communities and Ensuring a Strong Safety-Net Act (340B ACCESS Act).
“The Coalition Against Socialized Medicine (CASM) applauds Representatives Buddy Carter (R-GA-01) and Diana Harshbarger (R-TN-01) for introducing the 340B ACCESS Act. This bill takes much-needed steps to restore integrity, transparency, and accountability back to the broken 340B program.
“Although the 340B program was designed to deliver cost savings and improve access to care for vulnerable patients, many participating hospitals and other covered entities have exploited the system by pocketing discounts instead of using them to support patients in need. Like many government programs, it has been warped and distorted to benefit massive corporations at the expense of everyday Americans.
“The 340B ACCESS Act is a critical step toward improving patient outcomes, strengthening quality of care, and ensuring the program fulfills its original mission. This program must not continue to enrich hospitals while exploiting patients. CASM urges lawmakers to recognize the urgency of reforming the 340B program and to move swiftly to pass this critical legislation.”
